Subscriber

A subscriber is a person or organization that has subscribed to a mail2many account and receives newsletters. The subscriber is the most important and most frequently used entity in the system and the API.

Required fields and basic data​

The only required field is the email address. Additional basic data includes:

  • First and last name
  • Academic title
  • Birthday
  • Gender

Customer-specific fields​

In addition to the basic data, customer-specific fields can be defined. These are defined by the customer and can be used across all customer accounts — from simple text fields to boolean or date values.

Status and groups​

Each subscriber has a status that indicates whether newsletters may be received. If a subscriber is not ready to receive, there is also a status detail that provides additional information.

Groups​

Subscribers can be organized in groups. Groups are collections of subscribers that can be targeted with newsletters.
